Reminscences of World War II soldiers, 1940-1945, 1993-1995.

Reminiscences, diaries and reports from soldiers who served in Europe, Africa or the Pacific. Some include an account of their basic training. Many give stories about the people they are serving with or people that they meet in different countries including Germany during the occupation. There are descriptions of people, places and experiences in New York City, Scotland, England, Italy, France, Denmark and Germany. Accounts of battle in Italy, France, Manila, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Tokyo and Tamaroa. An account of the bombing and sinking of the U.S.S. Perry. An Air Force gunner writes about the difference between life while on a mission and between missions, and life in France after his plane is shot down.
